A chiasm is a literary structure where vocabulary of the first section of a passage is repeated in the second. The center of the chiasm is typically the climax of the passage. In Acts 7:57-8:8 the center and climax is “and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles” (Acts 8:1b).
