The Chiasm of Exodus 19:1 – Numbers 10:11: The Sinai Treaty
A chiasm is a literary structure where the words or themes of the first section of a passage are repeated in reverse order in the second. Typically whatever is in the center of the chiasm is what is being emphasized. In Exodus 19:1-Numbers 10:11, emphasis is on the building of the tabernacle and the filling if it with the glory of God (Exod 34:29-40:35).
