The Chiasm of Joel 2:26b-27
A chiasm is a literary structure where the words of the first section of a passage are repeated in the second. Typically whatever is in the center of the chiasm is what is being emphasized. In Joel 2:26b-27 the emphasis is on the truth that when Israel is not put to shame it is an indication that God is in her midst (Joel 2:27)
