A chiasm is a literary structure where vocabulary of the first section of a passage is repeated in reverse order in the second. The center of the chiasm is typically the climax of the passage. In John 11:1-45 the center and climax is “He who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die (John 11:25-26).
