The Chiasm of John 15:18-19
A chiasm is a literary structure where themes of the first section of a passage are repeated in the second. The center of the chiasm is typically the climax of the passage. In John 15:18-19 the center and climax is “If you were of the world, the world would love its own” (John 15:19:a-b).
