A chiasm is a literary structure where vocabulary of the first section of a passage is repeated in reverse order in the second. The center of the chiasm is typically the climax of the passage. In Luke 13:22-27 the center and climax is Jesus answering the question, “Are there just a few who are being saved?” said, Many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able” (Luke 13:24).
