A chiasm is a literary structure where vocabulary of the first section of a passage is repeated in reverse order in the second. The center of the chiasm is typically the climax of the passage. In Luke 14:15-24 the center and climax is the host of the dinner commanding his slaves to go through the city and compelling the poor, crippled, blind, and lame to come to the feast (Luke 14:21-23).
