A chiasm is a literary structure where vocabulary of the first section of a passage is repeated in the second. The center of the chiasm is typically the climax of the passage. In Luke 21:37-38 the center is the fact that after teaching all day in the temple Jesus would spend the night on the Mount of Olives (Luke 21:37b).
