A chiasm is a literary structure where vocabulary of the first section of a passage is repeated in the second. The center of the chiasm is typically the climax of the passage. In Luke 6:27-38 the center and climax is that sinners love those who love them, do good to those who do good to them, and lend to those whom they expect to repay, so what credit is it to anyone who does the same?
