The Chiasm of Mark 11:9-10
A chiasm is a literary structure where vocabulary of the first section of a passage is repeated in the second. The center of the chiasm is typically the climax of the passage. In Mark 11:9-10 the center and climax is the crowd shouting “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord and blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David” (Mark 11:9b-10a).
