The Chiasm of Mark 12:35-37
A chiasm is a literary structure where vocabulary of the first section of a passage is repeated in reverse order in the second. The center of the chiasm is typically the climax of the passage. In Mark 12:35-37 the center is David saying , “The Lord said to my Lord, ‘Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies beneath your feet'” (Mark 12:36).
