A chiasm is a literary structure where vocabulary of the first section of a passage is repeated in the second. The center of the chiasm is typically the climax of the passage. In Mark 13:24-27 the center and climax is “Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory” (Mark 13:26).
