A chiasm is a literary structure where vocabulary of the first section of a passage is repeated in the second. The center of the chiasm is typically the climax of the passage. In Mark 14:1-2 the center and climax is “the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to seize Him by stealth and kill Him” (Mark14:1b).
