The Chiasm of Matthew 13:53-58
A chiasm is a literary structure where the words of the first section of a passage are repeated in the second. The center of the chiasm is typically the climax of the passage. In Matthew 13:53-28, the center is the questions of the citizens of Nazareth as to who Jesus is (Matt 13:55-56a).
