The Chiasm of Matthew 18:6-7
A chiasm is a literary structure where the theme of the first section of a passage is repeated in the second. The center of the chiasm is typically the climax of the passage. In Matthew 18:6-7, the climax is “Woe to the world because of its stumbling blocks” (Matt 18:7a-b).
