A chiasm is a literary structure where the words of the first section of a passage are repeated in reverse order in the second. The center of the chiasm is typically the climax of the passage. In Matthew 21:1-7 the climax is that Jesus entry into Jerusalem was the fulfillment of Zechariah 9:9 (Matt 21:4).
