The Chiasm of Matthew 2:20-21
A chiasm is a literary structure where the words of the first section of a passage are repeated in reverse order in the second. The center of the chiasm is typically the climax of the passage. In the Matthew 2:20-21, center is “those who sought the Child’s life are dead” (Matt 2:20b).
