The Chiasm of Matthew 8:14-15
A chiasm is a literary structure where the words or themes of the first section of a passage are repeated in reverse order in the second. The center of the chiasm is typically the climax of the passage. In Matthew 8:14-15,the climax is that Jesus touched the hand of Peter’s sick mother-in-law (Matt 8:15a).
