The Chiasm of Matthew 9:35-10:1
A chiasm is a literary structure where the words or themes of the first section of a passage are repeated in reverse order in the second. The center of the chiasm is typically the climax of the passage. In Matthew 9:35-10:1,the climax is Jesus saying, “Beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest” (Matt 9:38).
