The Hebrew Word Elohim Occurs Twice in Psalm 82:1 With Different Meanings
In Psalm 82:1 the Hebrew word elohim is used with two different meanings. The first usage has of elohim has a verb in the singular, indicating the God of Israel. The second elohim is used in a plural sense of the heavenly members of the divine council as is seen in the ESV translation of Psalm 82:1.
